It was a pleasure for our team members to sit down with Cari Chaves, physician recruiter for Signature Healthcare in Brockton, MA, just before our Boston PracticeLink Live! Physician Job Fair, where she joined us to get face-to-face time with potential candidates.

Cari has been recruiting for more than 15 years—the past two years specifically in physician recruitment. She says that being a physician recruiter allows her and her team to be part of the patient care process in her community. 

“As physician recruiters, we are tasked with finding excellent providers that will be able to provide excellent care to our patients,” she says. “We as physician recruiters can help in the patient’s healing process by providing excellent physicians that will be compassionate and understanding of each patient. I work in an area that is culturally diverse, so many of our patients don’t speak English as their first language. Providing providers that are able to connect with them, sometimes in the same language they speak, can really help them have a better patient experience and help them heal.”

It’s a top priority for Cari to bring caring and compassionate providers to her community, as she knows just how important those providers are – they will not only be treating the community members, but her family and friends as well. The physicians she brings into her community are touching thousands of lives every year.
