For physician recruiters, residency program coordinators and directors both across town and across the country can be invaluable resources.

The new PracticeLink GME makes it easy to find and contact these important gatekeepers—at no additional cost.

How physician recruiters use PracticeLink GME

  • Conduct a nationwide search.

Through PracticeLink GME, physician recruiters can research—and then reach out to—program coordinators and directors nationwide in the specialties for which they’re recruiting. Establish a relationship with the program’s administrators, and you may be establishing a pipeline of interested candidates.

  • Become a resource for your local residency programs.

The residents and fellows in your region may have a special desire to stay in the area after training. Reach out to the program coordinators and directors of those nearby programs to build awareness of your organization. Offer to present an educational component to their residents, such as an overview of the local employment landscape, or the 10 steps to take in their job search

  • Reach out to residency program coordinators and directors before an event.

Traveling to Chicago for a physician specialty conference? Heading out to a PracticeLink Live! Physician Job Fair in an unfamiliar city? Contact the program coordinators in the area—or on the way to your final destination—who represent the specialties for which you’re recruiting. Email or call them to ask for a meeting, and stop in with some collateral and a treat! Ask them to invite their residents and fellows to the event or to pass along your opportunities.
